  • Long Description: Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly (right) visits Yesirat Gafani and her son, Afusat Gafani, to see a mosquito net at their home in Epe, near Lagos, Nigeria, provided by the Nothing But Nets campaign. Reilly originated the malaria prevention campaign in a column seeking $10 donations. The campaign has raised $1.2 million. Bishop Thomas Bickerton of the United Methodist Church's Western Pennsylvania area said one of the campaign's most appealing aspects is that "anyone, anywhere" can forge this lifesaving link with children in Africa. The people of The United Methodist Church are one of the partners in the campaign. A UMNS photo by Mike DuBose. Photo number 061343. Accompanies UMNS story #678, 11/16/06
